Boxing: Is a great introduction to the sweet science. Refine your skills with seasoned champs or recreational athletes. Work on the subtleties of boxing such as foot work, angles, ring generalship and slipping punches while elevating your speed and power!
NoGi Jiu-Jitsu: Our Jiu-Jitsu program follows the guidelines and belt system of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. At the moment, all of our adult classes are NoGi (without the Gi/Kimono). We will soon be adding traditional Gi classes for fundamentals and belt structure. We have a highly active competition team, but we also cater to enthusiasts looking to get in shape and learn self defense.
Junior Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: Our Jiu-Jitsu program for kids falls into ages 6-13. Jiu-Jitsu is excellent for children because they learn how to protect themselves from a bully without having to hurt anyone. Kids learn take-downs, takedown defense, and various submissions. It is a great confidence builder; it establishes discipline, a higher self esteem, and better manners!
Junior Muay Thai Kickboxing: We have an excellent striking program for children. The ages are also 6-13. Kids learn various movement patterns from defense to highly advanced combinations. The kids will learn how to Thai clinch, punch and throw various kicks. The sparring is very safe and controlled, children mostly spar with instructors.
Junior MMA: Junior MMA is an excellent starter course for children ages 3-5. It combines both grappling and kickboxing in a non contact format. There's also plenty of games for them to expend excess energy while having fun! They learn how to fall, roll around and most importantly, how to listen to instructions.
Lean & Mean: Lean & Mean is a morning class with an open format consisting mostly of Boxing, Kickboxing, Bootcamp, Jiu-Jitsu, and self defense. Different exercise routines include jumping rope, agility drills, weight lifting and hitting the pads.
MMA (Mixed Martial Arts): MMA is a new class that came from the need to put it all together. It's designed for our level 2 and above students who want to challenge themselves and think outside the box. You will test you skills in a open safe setting where your opponent is not confined to your rule set. It includes a mix of Boxing, BJJ Muay Thai and more! P.S. Level one students who still want to come in, can take a Muay Thai class with us simultaneously.
Muay Thai Kickboxing: Muay Thai is a traditional Martial Art from Thailand. When it reached the shores of the US, it revolutionized the world of Kickboxing and Karate. It further evolved during the growth of MMA and the UFC. Our ACS Muay Thai program is a style developed to be neutral, practical, and competitive in MMA, Boxing, Kickboxing, or Muay Thai. It's also considered as MMA striking or Muay Thai for MMA. We train a lot of bag work, shadowboxing, weights, pads and of course, sparring is always optional.
Self Defense: Self Defense is the newest addition to our class schedule. Not everyone aspires to climb the ranks of professional fighters. Some people walk through these doors to learn how to handle themselves in a dangerous situation. In this day and age, unfortunately the world is getting more unstable. God forbid we're ever in these situations, but we need to learn how to protect ourselves and loved ones from people looking to cause great harm. Not every scenario occurs in a clean mat with proper lighting and a referee enforcing the rules. We cover various topics such as "illegal strikes", various opponents, knives, when to fight or flee to safety. Occasionally, we'll host a seminar on First Aid, CPR, or weapons defense.
